Nothing in the Wood is an outdoor installation made of four pine tree trunks transported “from elsewhere,” with circular mirrors covering the cut tops. These trees are partially hidden, blending into their new habitat with a gently skewed perspective. Passers-by are invited to catch fleeting angles of light and sky in this half-natural and half-artificial scene. Such sculptural work allows me to look for ephemeral gestures that bring new moments of attention and observation within public spaces.
